Vaping and e-cigarettes may be the way forward if you want to live a longer and healthier life. Public watchdog, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), today announced steps for the public to improve life expectancy, one of which is to quit smoking. This advice is welcomed and backed by the UK’s premium e-cigarette brand, multiCIG, who believes that e-cigarettes can be a fantastic and effective first step to stopping smoking.
"NICE has recommended that people lead a healthier lifestyle by eating well, being more active, sticking to safe drinking limits and stopping smoking. It is this final point where multiCIG can help. By smoking multiCIG you are no longer inhaling tobacco, toxins, tar or the 4,000 chemicals found in traditional cigarettes. Switching to vaping is the first step to quitting smoking for good and can help people to lead a healthier life as recommended by NICE today," said a spokesperson from multiCIG.
January is a popular month for people wishing to switch their behaviour and become healthier but in previous years many have been unsupported and have struggled to stick to their new lifestyle. The NICE guidance intends to change this and multiCIG is pledging its support to help people to stop smoking traditional cigarettes.
The guidance, published today, aims to help health and social care professionals, as well as local authorities and local and national policy-makers to implement activities aimed at improving individuals' health and wellbeing. This includes interventions that will support people to improve their diet and become more physically active, lose weight if they are overweight or obese, stop smoking and reduce their alcohol intake.
